Chemical Engineering and Technology (Master)

The Chemical Engineering and Technology discipline of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology is one of the “double first-class” construction disciplines in Liaoning Province. It obtained the right to grant master's degree in 1993, was listed as a key discipline by the former Ministry of Chemical Industry in 1995, was listed as a key discipline in Liaoning Province in 2002, and was listed as a first-class characteristic discipline in Liaoning Province in 2013. In 2016, it was listed as the first batch of “double first-class” construction disciplines in Liaoning Province, and it was approved as a doctoral authorization point in 2021. There are 108 teachers, including 34 professors (including 1 foreigner) and 46 associate professors. Among them, there are many high-end talents such as foreign academicians of the Royal College of Technology, members of the Chemical Industry Society of China, national specially invited experts, Chief of “973”, winner of Hou Debang Chemical Science and Technology Award Achievement Award, leading talents of Xingliao Talent Program, outstanding experts of Liaoning Province, and specially invited professors of Liaoning Province. It has 1 national Huang Danian teachers team, 4 innovation teams of colleges and universities in Liaoning Province, and 1 subject innovation and intellectual introduction base of colleges and universities (111 intellectual introduction). There are 16 national and provincial key laboratories and engineering centers, such as the national and local borax and magnesium joint engineering laboratory, the key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for Resources, Chemicals and Materials, and the Provincial and ministerial Collaborative Innovation Center. In the past 5 years, it has undertaken 3 national key research and development plan projects, a number of projects such as key funds of the National Nature Fund, national key research and development plan topics, and National Nature Fund surface projects, with a research fund of nearly 200 million yuan; Won 7 provincial and ministerial first prizes.

Together with 11 national research institutions such as Institute of Process, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou Institute of Energy, Shanxi Coal Research Institute, Dalian University of Technology Panjin Industrial Technology Research Institute, the discipline has built the Institute of Science and Education Integration, and established an all-round, multi-level and diversified high-level open cooperation platform for government-enterprise-school-institution-institute linkage education. It has formed a new pattern of education in which the school government, the enterprise, the industry, the university and the research institute integrate the production and education, and the science and education. Strengthen international cooperation and exchanges at home and abroad to improve talent training, won the Ministry of Science and Technology “111” introduction base, the Ministry of Science and Technology regional and national Russian studies Center and other international exchange platforms, regularly hold Russian academicians in Liaoning, teachers and students exchange visits, expert reports and other activities. It has organized conferences and academic exchange activities such as the Annual Meeting of Chemical Society of China, the International Conference on Carbon Resource Conversion, and the Graduate Student Exchange Report, sponsored English journals CRC and RCM, and initiated the establishment of the World Society of Engineering Thermochemistry and Liaoning Engineering Thermochemistry Society. The discipline has effectively integrated resources into the whole process of talent training, established 14 provincial industry master's training bases, and jointly built a modern industry college - Magnesite Industry College with Liaoning local government, development zones and enterprises; In the past five years, the graduate students have published more than 100 academic papers, won 4 provincial excellent master’s theses, won 1 special prize, 2 first prize and 1 second prize of Liaoning Province Graduate Teaching Achievement Award, won Liaoning Province excellent master’s thesis advisor Excellent teacher and Shenyang excellent graduate tutor 3 people.
