Through the tripartite linkage of “hidden danger investigation, special training, and emergency drills,” an all-round and multi-level campus fire safety protection network has been constructed. Precisely Investigate Campus Safety Hazards to Achieve Comprehensive Risk Elimination During the activities, the University Security Department, in conjunction with the Logistics Management Department, Laboratory Management Center and other departments, set up a special investigation team to conduct a “full-scale dragnet” hidden danger inspection in key areas such as teaching buildings, student dormitories, laboratories, canteens, and libraries. The inspection focused on the allocation of fire-fighting facilities, the layout of electrical circuits, and the storage of flammable and explosive materials. A hidden danger account was established with an “account cancellation management” system implemented — identified hazards were rectified immediately to prevent safety risks at the source. Focus on Key Groups for Special Training to Targetedly Enhance Safety Skills Tailored to the fire safety needs of different groups, the university carried out hierarchical and classified training activities: Invited supervisors from the local fire and rescue brigade to conduct special training for campus safety officers. Through case analysis and on-site practical operations, professional skills such as hazard identification and initial fire handling were strengthened. Organized fire safety knowledge training for all colleges and functional departments, explaining fire safety laws and regulations, emergency evacuation common sense, and the use of fire-fighting facilities. A total of more than 20 training sessions were held, covering over 1,000 teachers and students. Practical Evacuation Drills Improve Risk Avoidance Capabilities; Hands-on Firefighting Enhances Disposal Skills In mid-November, the university organized multiple emergency drills in student dormitory areas, teaching buildings, laboratory buildings and other locations.During the evacuation drills, teachers and students quickly and orderly evacuated along safe passages to designated assembly points under the guidance of staff, with the entire process being standardized and efficient. At the firefighting drills, instructors demonstrated in detail the operational essentials of fire extinguishers (“lift, pull, hold, squeeze”), and teacher-student representatives participated in hands-on firefighting operations, effectively improving their emergency disposal capabilities. Through the fire safety month series activities, the university has further enhanced the fire safety awareness and self-rescue and mutual rescue capabilities of all teachers and students, and improved the campus fire safety emergency response mechanism. Taking this activity as an opportunity, the university will continue to carry out regular fire safety management work, consolidate the campus safety barrier, and create a safe and stable education environment for teachers and students.
