The University Successfully Holds C Language “One Course, One Practice” Program and the 12th Shenyang Regional Programming Competition

On October 8th, SYUCT C Language One Course, One Practice Program and the 12th Shenyang Regional Programming Competition, co-hosted by the Academic Affairs Office and the School of Computer Science and Technology, was held simultaneously in the computer labs on the 4th floor of the School of Computer Science and Technology and on the online platform Nowcoder.

This competition attracted a total of 51 teams (over 130 participants) from 8 universities in Liaoning Province to compete on-site. Meanwhile, more than 130 teams from 87 universities nationwide, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Zhejiang University, registered for the online competition. The scale of participation reached a new high. After 3 hours of intense competition, 1 Champion Award, 5 First Prizes, 9 Second Prizes, and 14 Third Prizes were awarded. The event fully demonstrated the solid programming skills and outstanding practical abilities of students from various universities.

The award ceremony was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of the School of Computer Science and Technology. Ren Baoyi, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office; Wang Jun, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology; Zhang Bo, Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology; and Shi Limin from the Big Data Teaching and Research Section attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Wang Yana, the organizer of the competition.

In his speech, Wang Jun pointed out that with the long-term support of the Academic Affairs Office, this competition has been successfully held for 12 sessions. After completing the C Language course, students can not only fully test their mastery of course knowledge by participating in the competition but also gain a valuable platform for inter-university communication and mutual learning.

Ren Baoyi delivered a concluding speech. He stated that the competition not only assesses students mastery of theoretical knowledge but also enhances their abilities in algorithm design, logical thinking, and teamwork. It is a vivid practice of our universitys teaching reform goal of promoting learning through competitions, promoting teaching through competitions, and promoting innovation through competitions.
