Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Beijing University of Chemical Technology Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

On April 24, the signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology (SYUCT) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) was held at the East Campus of BUCT.

Liu Guiqin, Secretary of the CPC BUCT Committee; Song Laixin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BUCT Committee; Su Haijia, Vice President of BUCT; and heads of relevant functional departments and schools of BUCT attended the ceremony. Also present were Zhou Zhiqiang, Secretary of the CPC SYUCT Committee; Wang Shurong and Yu Sansan, Vice Presidents of SYUCT; and heads of relevant departments and schools of SYUCT. The ceremony was presided over by Song Laixin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC BUCT Committee.

At the ceremony, Liu Guiqin extended a warm welcome to the SYUCT delegation and delivered a detailed introduction to the remarkable achievements made by BUCT in recent years in key areas including Party-building leadership, disciplinary development, and scientific and technological innovation. He pointed out that the signing of this agreement is a concrete measure for both universities to fully implement the important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting the full revitalization of Northeast China in the new era. Sharing the same origin and distinctive strengths, the two universities boast a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation. He expressed hope that both sides will take this signing as a new starting point to pursue complementary advantages and joint development, so as to make greater contributions to the development of chemical higher education and industrial progress in China.

Zhou Zhiqiang expressed sincere thanks to BUCT for its long-term support and briefed the participants on the educational characteristics and developmental highlights of SYUCT in recent years. He stated that SYUCT will seize the opportunity to fully advance the implementation of the framework agreement, and carry out in-depth cooperation with BUCT in talent cultivation, ideological and political education, scientific and technological innovation, disciplinary development and talent exchange. Meanwhile, it will provide comprehensive service support for BUCT’s scientific and technological innovation and technology transfer in Liaoning Province. The two sides will jointly shoulder new responsibilities and contribute to the full revitalization of Northeast China and the high-quality development of the chemical industry.

Witnessed by all attendees, Su Haijia and Yu Sansan formally signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on behalf of the two universities. Subsequently, representatives from both sides conducted in-depth discussions on collaborative ideological and political education, joint postgraduate training, scientific and technological innovation, and the introduction and cultivation of high-end talents, and took a group photo.

Prior to the ceremony, heads of relevant departments and schools of SYUCT held targeted exchanges and docking meetings with their counterparts at BUCT, reaching consensus on a number of matters related to the follow-up implementation of the agreement.
