The 46th Sports Meeting of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology successfully concluded

From April 25th to 26th, the 46th Sports Meeting of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology was held in the main stadium. University leaders attended the opening and closing ceremonies. The opening and closing ceremonies were presided over by Du Dayong, Director of the Department of Physical Education.

On the morning of April 25th, the opening ceremony of the sports meeting was held in the main stadium. Wang Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SYUCT, stated in her speech that the Party Committee of the university has always attached great importance to physical education work and put forward the strategic goal and educational concept of “Building a Strong University in Physical Education and Determined to Serve the Country in Chemical Engineering”. The atmosphere of physical education work in the university has become increasingly strong, and the educational achievements have been continuously demonstrated. She hoped that all staff and students would take this sports meeting as an opportunity to accelerate their pace, achieve good results, and show high spirit, and strive to write a new chapter in realizing the dream of rapid development and building a strong regional university.

Facing the spring morning sun, the National Flag Guard and various representative teams entered the venue in an orderly manner with full enthusiasm, accompanied by the passionate and progressive “Athletes March”. They were full of vigor, with vigorous steps and loud slogans, and showed the high-spirited and positive demeanor of teachers and students of the university with their neat formations and creative performances.

After nearly a day and a half of intense competition, the representative teams of the Administration Office, School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering, and School of Information Engineering won the first to fourth places in the total score of the faculty group respectively; the representative teams of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering, School of Economics and Management, and School of Materials Science and Engineering won the first to fourth places in the total score of the student group respectively. Six representative teams, including the Administration Office, School of Economics and Management, School of Environment and Safety Engineering, School of Science, School of Foreign Languages, and School of Marxism, won the Sportsmanship Award for the faculty group; eight colleges, including the School of Information Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering, School of International Education, School of Computer Science and Technology, School of Materials Science and Engineering, and School of Humanities and Arts, won the Sportsmanship Award for the student group. In this competition, one person broke two records of our university in two events (the men’s 800-meter race and the men’s 3000-meter race for students). The Youth Volunteer Association of the university won the Outstanding Contribution Award of this sports meeting.

At noon on the 26th, the closing ceremony of this sports meeting was held. University leaders presented medals to the winning units. With everyone singing the school anthem of SYUCT, “Pride and Glory”, the sports meeting successfully came to an end.
