   Reporter's Profile:

   Liu Guozhu (born in 1979), professor, doctoral supervisor, is deputy director of Advanced Fuels and Chemical Propellants of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education. He graduated from Hefei University of Technology in September 2001 and received a Ph.D. in chemical technology from Tianjin University in February 2006. He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2015. He was selected as the winner of the National Excellent Youth Fund (2015), New Century Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education (2013), Beiyang Youth Scholars (2013), and the backbone of the innovation team of “Liquid Fuel Preparation Theory and Technology” of the Ministry of Education (2012).

   Prof. Liu mainly engaged in the field of fuel chemistry research. He has presided over more than 10 state-level major research projects, including national major and special research projects, National Major Natural Science Fund Project, Outstanding Youth Fund Project, and National 863 Project, etc. As the first or correspondent author, he published 80 SCI papers in major journals of chemical and fuel fields such as AIChE J, Chem Eng Sci, Fuel, etc. He obtained 6 national invention patents.
