Vice President Wang Shurong Leads Delegation to Liaoning Datang International Fuxin Coal-to-Gas Co., Ltd. for “Enterprise Visits and Job Expansion to Promote Employment” Special Initiative

To deepen the integration of industry and education between the university and enterprises and broaden student employment channels, on January 23, Wang Shurong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President, led a delegation of five. They were accompanied by Lin Yan, Party Secretary of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, Gong Bin, Dean of the School, Li Hongxu, Deputy Party Secretary, and counselor Lu He. The delegation visited Liaoning Datang International Fuxin Coal-to-Gas Co., Ltd. to carry out the “Enterprise Visits and Job Expansion to Promote Employment” special initiative.

During the visit, Vice President Wang Shurong and the delegation of five toured the company’s production park and the Park Intelligent Management Command Center. They gained a detailed understanding of the enterprise’s development history, technological innovation achievements, and production operation models, with a particular focus on the working environment and career development paths for graduates.

This activity received strong support from the Xinqiu District Government of Fuxin City, which organized a government-university-enterprise exchange symposium. Present at the meeting were Guan Zhong, Member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Deputy District Mayor of the Xinqiu District Peoples Government of Fuxin City; Ma Jun, Deputy General Manager of Datang International Fuxin Coal-to-Gas Co., Ltd.; Yuan Pengxu, Director of the Discipline Inspection Commission Office; and Song Baoyan, Deputy Leader of the Deepening Reform Group, among others.

Deputy District Mayor Guan Zhong, on behalf of the Xinqiu District Government, extended a warm welcome to the arrival of Wang Shurong and the delegation of five, and expressed gratitude to Shenyang University of Chemical Technology for its attention and support to the development of the Xinqiu region. Guided by the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and the implementation of new industrial projects, Guan Zhong provided a detailed introduction to the integrated development of Xinqiu District's four major industries. He expressed anticipation for establishing a university-industry-research cooperation mechanism with the university to jointly carry out scientific research projects, promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Ma Jun clearly expressed an urgent demand for skilled and technical talents and put forward specific cooperation needs regarding targeted talent cultivation and training for new employees. He also looked forward to in-depth cooperation with the university in areas such as technical research and internship/training, to inject new momentum into project construction and the industrial development of Fuxin.

Wang Shurong stated that the construction, production, and downstream product research and development of the Datang coal-to-gas project highly align with the university’s disciplinary directions in energy, chemical engineering, and other fields, indicating broad prospects for cooperation between the two sides. He expressed hope that this enterprise visit and job expansion initiative would serve as an opportunity to further promote in-depth cooperation between the university and the enterprise in technical research, achievement transformation, student internships/training, and talent recruitment. During the symposium, both sides engaged in close discussions regarding talent introduction, scientific research cooperation, and joint project development, reaching multiple consensuses.

This Enterprise Visits and Job Expansion” special initiative has provided a new opportunity for our college to expand ideas for student employment and deepen university-enterprise cooperation. In the next step, the college will continue to strengthen engagement with enterprises, actively explore more high-quality job positions, build supply-demand articulation platforms, and make every effort to ensure more sufficient and higher-quality employment for our graduates.
