Recently, the Provincial Department of Education issued 15 scientific and technological achievements/intellectual property conversion and technology transfer bases (hereinafter referred to as bases), including 5 Class-A bases and 10 Class-B bases that were self-recommended and had been reviewed by specialists. Our university was successfully selected as a Class-A base.
The determination of bases aims at implement the < Improving Quality of Colleges and Universities Patent—Opinions on Promoting Transformation > issued by Ministry of Education, National Intellectual Bureau, and Ministry of Science and Technology (Ed&Tec [2020] no. 1) file spirit, which focuses on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements to boost high quality economic development; to explore the transformation mode and system of scientific and technological achievements; to perfect the higher-education institution’s scientific and technological achievements transformation; to improve their management system, institutional system and service support system; and to accelerate the scientific and technological achievements transformation.
The approval on Liaoning Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievements/Intellectual Property Conversion and Technology Transfer Base signifies that the transformation of scientific and technological achievements of our university has been highly recognized and will further enhance our ability to serve the local economy. The SYUCT Scientific and Technological Achievements/Intellectual Property Conversion and Technology Transfer Base will implement policies and measures to carry on the transfer and application of scientific and technological achievements, improve our own institutional innovation, and, based in Liaoning province and across the country, build our innovation capacity for the application of scientific and technological achievements, the sharing of scientific and technological resources, the gathering of technical talents and the incubation of venture capital.
