The first-level discipline of Information and Communication Engineering in our university was approved by the state in 2010. The secondary discipline of Signal and Information Processing was granted the right to confer master's degrees in 2006. This discipline takes communication networks, signal and multimedia processing, and information processing as its research objects and conducts relevant theoretical research and engineering applications. After nearly two decades of development and accumulation, it has achieved high-level scientific research outcomes in areas such as industrial network security, embedded systems, image recognition and processing, and possesses a research team with rich practical experience and a solid engineering foundation. In recent years, it has undertaken over 200 major national scientific and technological projects such as those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National 863 Program, and the National Science and Technology Support Plan, as well as various projects at the provincial, municipal, and enterprise levels. It has received more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level science and technology progress awards. Among them, more than 20 scientific research achievements have been transformed, earning recognition from society. Graduates, due to their excellent theoretical and practical research literacy, have been welcomed by employers and have entered research and management positions in well-known enterprises.
