On July 9th, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology Green Chemicals and Materials Summit Forum was held in the 8th conference room of our university. Professor Zheng Ying from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, Executive Director and Technical Research Director of the Japan Metallurgical Industry Co., Ltd., Professor Wang Kun, Chief Scientist of the Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the 9th Council of the Chinese Society of Corrosion and Protection, and High Temperature of the China Society for Corrosion and Protection Director of the Professional Committee, Professor Wang Fuhui from Northeastern University, researcher of the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Su Fabing, and Dr. Yin Xiushan from Shenyang University of Chemical Technology were invited to participate in the forum and present academic reports. The forum was presided over by President Xu Guangwen.

In the report, Professor Zheng Ying introduced the research results and research progress of non-hydrogen high-efficiency heavy oil catalytic cracking under mild conditions. Researcher Wang Kun explained the high corrosion resistance of super austenitic stainless steel and nickel-based alloys and related applications in various fields. Professor Wang Fuhui introduced the corrosion and protection of metal substrates for carriers in complex marine environments, as well as innovative results in high performance coatings. Researcher Su Fabing introduced the catalytic mechanism and application of organosilicon monomer synthesis reaction. Professor Yin Xiushan introduced stem cell and regenerative medicine - from basic to clinical innovations. Some teachers, graduate students and participating experts from the Energy and Chemical Industry Research Institute, the School of Chemical Engineering, and the School of Materials Science and Engineering have conducted extensive exchanges on the future development trends and focus issues in the field of green chemicals and materials research.

The grand holding of the Green Chemicals and Materials Summit Forum not only provided valuable academic exchange opportunities for the relevant teachers and students of our school, but also broadened the research horizon and innovative thinking of graduate students and teachers, and allowed more famous professors at home and abroad to understand more about efforts and achievements of our teachers and students in the fields of scientific research, teaching, and discipline construction, so as to further expand the external communication, promote the continuous innovation and vigorous development of related disciplines, and raise the school's "double first-class" construction level.
