On June 4th, the launching ceremony of the "Liaoning Activities of Russian Academicians in 2019" was successfully held in Liaoning Mansion, Shenyang. The activity was jointly sponsored by the Science and Technology Department of Liaoning Province and Liaoning Province Key Technology Innovation and R&D Base Construction Engineering Center, presented by our university, together with Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau, Anshan Science and Technology Bureau, Liaoyang Science and Technology Bureau and Shenyang Ligong University. Lu Ke, Deputy Governor of Liaoning Provincial Government and Academician of China Academy of Sciences, attended the launching ceremony and met with Russian academicians who participated in the event.
At the ceremony, Academician Vladimir Fiden, the Director of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as a representative of the Russian side, pointed out in his speech that the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences has established cooperative relationship with Shenyang University of Chemical Technology for years. Significant achievements have been made throughout the period in scientific and technological cooperation, academic exchanges and young talent cultivation. It is a model for cooperation between Chinese and Russian educational institutions. Meanwhile, Dr. Fiden added that he will continue to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between Russia and Liaoning.
Wang Xuelai, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Provincial Science and Technology Department, read out the decision approving the establishment of the Russian Academician's Expert Workstation in Liaoning Province and the China-Russia (Liaoning) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base.
Professor Xu Guangwen, Headmaster of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, made a speech, sharing experience.
Vice Governor, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lu Ke, awarded two Russian academician expert workstations and three Sino-Russian (Liaoning) innovation and entrepreneurship bases, and announced the official launch of the event: "2019 Russian Academician Experts in Liaoning". On behalf of our university, Vice President Da Kening accepted the academician's expert workstation plaque.
This year coincides with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. It is also the year of Sino-Russia local cooperation and exchange. The "2019 Russian Academician Experts Liaoning Tour" activity that our university participated in aims at focusing on scientific and technological innovation and industrial development needs, while building a high-level talent project docking platform, promoting Liaoning-Russia talent technology exchange and cooperation, promoting intellectual project integration and innovation, and accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
