On the morning of June 24, the 2019 Shenyang University of Chemical Technology graduation and degree awarding ceremony was held in the stadium. More than 3,000 university students said goodbye to their alma mater.
Vice President Yuan Decheng read the "Decision of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology on the granting of graduation and degree awards to the 2019 undergraduate, postgraduate and international students." The President of the university, Xu Guangwen, issued diploma and degree to the graduates of the whole school, turned their tassels, and took photos.
Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection Meng Xianmei read the "2019 Liaoning Province Outstanding Graduates List". All school leaders jointly issued certificates for provincial outstanding graduate representatives.
Vice President Da Kening read out the list of professional pacesetters for 2019 undergraduate students of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology. Wang Qiang, the Party Secretary of the school, issued certificates to the professional models of the school, and took photos with them.

Zhu Yangchen, from the Department of Environmental Engineering, spoke on behalf of the 2019 undergraduate graduates. Professor Zhang Xuejun, Dean of the School of Environmental and Safety Engineering, presented his words to the graduates:” responsibility, goals and lifelong learning”. The year 1984 alumni of the polymer chemical industry, the second prize winner of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018, and the chairman of Beijing Sparkle Technology Development Co., Ltd. Liu Kuansheng made a deep and affectionate speech entitled "The Power of the Alma Mater", naming the university experience the “golden key to the dream”. He hopes that the youngsters will stay proud and win glory for their alma mater.
President Xu Guangwen enthusiastically taught the graduates their "last class" - "Building a Life with Morality." President Xu expressed his gratitude and happiness, and earnestly warned the graduates who are about to step into the society, to maintain the essence of "Morality" in conducting oneself, to face difficulties with no fear, and to never give up when facing setbacks . He pointed out that Shenyang University of Chemical Technology has fulfilled the responsibility of "Strengthening Morality throughout Cultivation". Therefore, the students from this university should abide by the conduct of "thriving on morality" to support their lives and their future.
Later, President Xu Guangwen put forward three suggestions for the graduates around the “Strengthening Morality throughout Cultivation ": First, setting up morality and definite responsibility; being noble and generous. The second is to study diligently; be prudence to distinguish right from wrong; stay solid and be dependable. The third is to live morally and always endeavoring for ever greater perfection. President Xu Guangwen strengthened that doing things with morality and virtue, will help ones maintain kind, optimistic and fulfilling; one will harvest positive energy, happiness and success; one will experience different landscapes from different heights, gain different wonderful achievements. He hopes that graduates will build their lives with morality and embrace the glory of their lives and future careers!
