On the afternoon of May 23, Mr. Ogura, the president of Japan’s Hokuriku University, Zhou Hang, the Director of the School Board, and Nan Yemao, the Director of the Department of Affairs, visited our campus to renew the cooperation agreement between the two universities.
On behalf of the university, Secretary Wang Qiang first expressed his warm welcome to the Japanese guests. He pointed out that the two universities have established a friendly and cooperative relationship in 2012, which has been moving forward smoothly, and has achieved fruitful achievements. It is hoped that the two universities will further deepen the cooperation in running schools, expanding cooperation scale, opening up new cooperative education fields, striving to create opportunities for mutual visits, and establishing communications, exchanges and cooperation in quality education and personality education so as to learn from each other’s strong points and make common progress.
President Xu Guangwen hoped that the two universities will further develop a wider range of professional cooperation under the guidance of mature cooperative education methods, and strive to transform the cooperation mode from project-orientation to systematization. It is hoped that the two universities could organize and carry out exchanges between students from both sides, or develop summer programs to broaden students’ horizon, deepen their acknowledgements, and enhance the China-Japan tie through younger generations.
President Ogura then expressed his gratitude to our warm hospitality. He hoped that we could create more opportunities for cooperation in professional fields to further deepen communication with our university. In addition, President Ogura sincerely invited the leaders of the university and relevant faculty members from departments of the university to come and visit Japan to communicate and deepen the mutual cooperation ties.
Subsequently, in accordance with the agreement of the biennial renewal agreement, the two parties renewed and signed the “Agreement on the Implementation of Undergraduate Education Cooperation between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Japan’s Hokuriku University”, exchanging gifts and taking pictures.
