The Sino-Japanese University Academic Seminar Held at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology

In order to further deepen the cooperation and exchange with Gunma University of Japan and promote academic exchanges between Chinese and Japanese universities, the Sino-Japanese University Academic Seminar was held in our university on 8th and 9th, October.

On the morning of October 8, the opening ceremony of the academic seminar was held in the academic lecture hall in the university headquarter building. Jiang Xiaoping, Director of the Department of International Affairs of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, Professor Shin-ichi KURODA, Professor Nobuyoshi NAKAGAWA, Associate Professor Reiji NODA and Associate Professor Mikiya ARAKI from Gunma University of Japan, and Xu Guangwen, President of our University, Da Kening, Vice President of our University, as well as leaders, teachers and students of relevant departments of our university attended the opening ceremony.

President Xu Guangwen extended a warm welcome to the delegation of  Gunma University of Japan. He pointed out that this seminar was the first Sino-Japanese university seminar, and it was expected to take this seminar as an opportunity to build a platform for mutual multi-faceted communication, deepen mutual friendship and strengthen cooperation between universities in China and Japan. He hoped that the seminar would continue to be held in future, not only becoming a platform for exchanges and cooperation between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Gunma University of Japan, but also serving as a platform for exchanges and cooperation between other universities in China and Japan.

Teachers and students from Gunma University of Japan and our university respectively made academic reports on specific subjects,such as polymer synthesis and processing, chemical engineering, applied chemistry, automation and mechanical engineering.

On the morning of October 9, in the 8th meeting room of the university headquarter building,both parties conducted in-depth discussions on the renewal of MOU contracts, joint training of students, laboratory cooperation, and scientific research cooperation projects , and reached preliminary cooperation intentions.
