Recently, “Liaoning Province Key Laboratory of Petrochemical Industry Information Security”, chaired by Professor Zong Xuejun of our university, was approved for establishment by the Provincial Science and Technology Department.
Guided by the national information security strategy, and considering the actual situation of the information security industry development at home and abroad, the laboratory focuses on studying and solving strategic and fundamental issues in the information security field of the petroleum and chemical industry, on the research of awareness, assessment and prediction of information security situation in the petrochemical industry, and active protection of information security and detection of industrial network anomaly, and on the construction of typical equipment control systems and information security attack and defense drill platforms in the petrochemical industry.
In future, on the basis of cooperation with domestic companies such as 360 Security, the laboratory will actively play the advantage-complementary role of school-enterprise cooperation, and promote the synergy and integration of production, learning, research and use of the information security industry in superior resources. Striving to improve the capabilities of the laboratory’s scientific research, personnel training, service for economic development, we are committed to building a domestic first-class academic research and exchange platform, and an important base for scientific and technological innovation and personnel training in the field of industrial information security research in the petrochemical industry of Liaoning Province and even the whole country.
