The 30th Anniversary of the Friendly Cooperation between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology

On the morning of November 27th, the 30th anniversary of the friendly cooperation between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and Japan Gunma University and the academic seminar of Liaoning (China-Japan) New Material Technology Transfer and Promotion Service Center were held in the academic report hall of the administrative building. Jiang Xiaoping, Division Chief of the Asia-Africa Branch of the International Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Liu Enping, Director of the Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts, Liu Xiaoyang, Division Chief of the Project Office of the Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts, Piao Mingzhe, Division Chief of the International Cooperation Department of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Li Jun, Deputy Division Chief of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Provincial Department of Education, Hiroshi Hirotaka, President of Gunma University, Masako Summei, Vice President and Director of International Center of Gunma University, Bai Wei, Party Secretary of SYUCT, and Vice President Wang Ying and Xu Guangwen attended the conference. The heads of relevant departments, faculty members and student representatives of the Gunma University and SYUCT, attended the meeting too.

Vice President of SYUCT Wang Ying, first delivered a welcome speech. She reviewed the history of exchanges and cooperation between the two universities around academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, young teachers training, and students exchange, etc.

The ex-dean of the Polymer Department of SYUCT, Li Zhutian, made a speech. Mr. Li opened the door to exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and was the founder of the cooperation between the two universities for 30 years.

President Hiroshi Hirotaka of Gunma University made a speech. Hiratsuka expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of SYUCT. He hopes to achieve mutual acceptance of dual degree and internships in the future and further promote student exchanges. He wished the two sides’ cooperation to a higher level and to achieve more fruitful results!

Secretary Bai Wei made a speech. On behalf of SYUCT, Secretary Bai expressed his warm welcome to all leaders and the group of the President Hirotaka. He pointed out that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the founding of SYUCT and marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of friendly and cooperative relation between the two universities. He hoped that with the visit of the President Hirotaka, the two sides can further expand the scope and content of cooperation through friendly consultations so as to promote more and better exchanges and cooperation between our two universities.

Director Liu Enping made a speech. On behalf of the Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts, he extended his warm congratulations to the success of the conference and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of SYUCT!

Division Chief Jiang Xiaoping made a concluding speech. He briefed the cooperation between the Chinese and Japanese governments and stated that it is necessary to further strengthen the scientific and technological cooperation between China and Japan. Finally, he wished the successful conclusion of the 30th anniversary of the friendly cooperation between Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and the Gunma University of Japan and the Academic Seminar of Liaoning (China-Japan) New Material Technology Transfer and Promotion Service Center. He also wished the friendship between the Chinese and Japanese people evergreen!

After the seminar, Secretary Bai Wei and President Hiroshi Hirotaka exchanged souvenirs representing the 30th anniversary of friendly cooperation between the two sides.

At 2 p.m., professors Kurita Shinta and Shi Jianchao of Gunma University, Prof. Shi Shan and Dr. Yang Zhengxin of SYUCT gave academic exchange reports in the Academic Reporting Hall of the administrative building and the Academic Reporting Hall of the library respectively. Subsequently, representatives of the two universities held a discussion in the eighth conference room of the administrative building. Overseas students from Gunma University of our university participated in the discussion.
