At 6 p.m. of September 15th, “Chasing Dreams Forward” - to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Shenyang University of Chemical Technology and the Welcome Evening Party for 2017 New Students was held in the main stadium. Secretary of University CPC Committee Bai Wei; University Principal Li Zhiyi; Deputy Secretary of University CPC Committee Li Wenxiu; Vice Principal Yuan Decheng, Zhang Yimin, Wang Ying, Xu Guangwen; Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection Meng Xianmei; persons in charge of related functional departments, faculties; and all 2017 freshmen watched the performance.
The evening was divided into three chapters–“Dreaming Back to the Original Heart”, “Setting Dream Sail” and “Chasing Dream Forward”. Sound, light, electricity, video and other forms of art were combined to present a colorful audiovisual feast for the new students.
Opening video took us through old school gates back to the original appearance of university. Orchestra of SYUCT debuted and brought The Music Movement of Looking Back for teachers and students. Short play Back Home showed the hard work of SYUCT graduates in the workplace and expressed the idea that alma mater is always a strong backing for SYUCT graduates. Subsequently, alumni sent birthday blessing for the 65th anniversary of SYUCT and words to the 2017 freshmen.
Vice Principal Zhang Yimin, and Xu Guangwen, on behalf of introduced high-end talents of SYUCT, sent message for the 2017 new students. Zhang Yimin said, “In the sea, you are just sand, but if you enter the mussel, you will become a pearl. SYUCT is the mussel in sea. If students of SYUCT want to become pearls, you must have confidence, character, and enjoy the process of becoming a pearl. I hope that the all SYUCT students can become first-class students.”
Video Our SYUCT showed the history, the pursuit, the beauty and the colorful students living of SYUCT. Return to Seventeen Years Old is the youth wish given by 2017 freshmen. Handsome and beautiful military training instructors who are also our students sang Qiang Jun Battle Song and When the Motherland Calls, which sang out the momentum and mighty of SYUCT people. Colorful Community presented wonderful performances by Community Association and university-level communities, showing a rich and colorful campus cultural life.
The dream of youth, the power of youth, the responsibility of youth, and the vitality of SYUCT’s youth are all written in the poetry recitation Report of Youth. Dance, Passing the Torch, condensed the ambitious and marching forward spirit and courage of generations of SYUCT people. The singing and dancing of large girls idol group SHY48 made audience high. Finally, the party came to an end in the song dancing Fly with the Dragon. After the performance, university leaders came on stage to shook hands with the cast and crew cordially and posed for pictures.
In 65 years, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology has painted many magnificent pictures; in 65 years, SYUCT people have composed a lot of majestic music. At this special moment, let’s make a wish together, wish SYUCT more and more beautiful; and wish the 2017 new students taking SYUCT as home to forge ahead, to chase dream forward and create glory together with SYUCT.
